The Dream Diaries
Just a woman going after her dreams -I mean really going for them, think Carrie Bradshaw doing something big with NY city ( sorry still haven't actually seen the show), think Elizabeth Eat, Pray and Loving her way through Europe, think Moana following the horizon calling out to her, think Elle Woods kicking Harvards butt cause what, "like it's hard" (now that I definitely have on constant rotation for comfort movies.)
And comfort I most definitely need in this journey because here's what no one told me, the road to your dreams is more like a yellow brick road with "Lions, tigers and bears, oh my!"
So, in true writer –read: psycho– behavior I've decided to journal about it, every step of the way. Because I want to look back at these diary entries and remember the bumps one the road, the battles I had to win (and lose) and the days where the road just cease to exist and I had to build it again, brick by yellow brick, to become the woman finally living her dream life.
Walk With Me
If you too have a dream, started your road and thought "Nope, that's one too many lions for my liking", these diaries can be for you too. I honestly wish I had seen anyone talk about in excruciating detail how hard it is to make your dreams come true sometimes. But alas, our brains are programmed to rather look back at hard times fondly and remember only the good parts, the times where it seemed like the Universe lined up every single planet in a pretty little file to work just for us. So when we ourselves set out toward a dream and find holes in our shoes we think that this dream mustn't be meant to be, or else it would have been easy -or easyish- like all those other people said, right?
Wrong!
And these diaries are going to be our proof of how wrong that notion really is.
